Process and Timeline
The first and most personal step in the enrollment process is to contact us to arrange for a
tour of the campus. Principal Rucker personally tours families around the campus and takes
the time to meet each and every prospective family prior to the registration process so that
he can answer any and all specific questions about OLG. This also affords him the opportunity
to get to know the families on a more personal level, which is important because OLG is a very
collaborative community of involved teachers and parents. It is important for us to ensure that
our prospective parents are a good fit for the community, not just the prospective students.
For the transferring student, we ask that you also fill out an initial Admittance Inquiry Form
that provides us with current academic results and personal references. Due to the fact that
our academic program is highly rigorous, we are very limited in the amount of remediation that
we can provide to an incoming student that is behind grade level expectations in given subject areas.
Filling out the Admittance Inquiry Form will allow us the opportunity to review and discern if
our academic program has the potential for success for the incoming student.
We arrange an assessment date for all incoming students, be it in the form of a one-on-one session
with the teacher during summer months, or a shadow day visitation during the school year.
The assessment is a critical step in making sure of two things. Obviously, we want to ensure
that the student has the potential for success at OLG, but we also want to ensure that the
student has a chance to experience a taste of what we do and who we are so that they can
determine if they want to be a part of OLG.
If after the assessment it is deemed that the student would be a good fit for our school,
and that the student and family are happy with the decision to pursue enrollment at OLG,
we will extend a registration packet and process enrollment.
