ADMISSIONS INFORMATION
At Our Lady of Grace School, we pride ourselves in offering the highest quality education
possible by keeping the student/teacher ratio as low as possible. We also have a stringent
screening process before accepting any family into the school. If you are interested in
enrolling at Our Lady of Grace School, here are some common questions that we receive,
and the answers to them.

#1 - How much does it cost to attend Our Lady of Grace School?

#2 - Do you offer Pre-School and after school care?
We do not currently offer a Pre-School program, but we do have an Extension program
that runs every school day from 3-6pm. Students can enroll full-time (5 days/week) for
$210/month for one child. We offer hourly rates, as well as part-time rates too.

#3 - How can we get a Registration Packet?
Before you can obtain a Registration Packet, you must fill out our Admittance Inquiry Form.

#4 - How do you determine who is admitted to Our Lady of Grace School?
We request a copy of the latest report card and test scores, as well as letters of
recommendation from the current school of any student (except Kindergarten) interested
in enrolling at Our Lady of Grace School.

In the event that there is a waiting list for any grade level, priority will be given to Our
Lady of Grace Church parishioners, followed by practicing Catholics in good standing
with their church, followed by non-Catholic students.

Our Lady of Grace School does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender or ethnicity
of any student or family applying for admission to Our Lady of Grace School.

#5 - Do you offer financial aide?
We currently do not offer a financial aide program at Our Lady of Grace School.

#6 - What are the requirements of our family if accepted at Our Lady of Grace School?
Like any other private school, we require our families to actively participate in many
aspects of the school life. All families accepted at Our Lady of Grace School must agree to
the Family Enrollment Agreement in their registration packet. To preview the Family
Enrollment Agreement, please click the following link:

#7 - How many students are in the school now?
We currently have 222 students enrolled in grades K-8.

#8 - Are there openings in grades K-8?
Kindergarten is usually filled before school begins in the Fall. All other grades have
openings, but are subject to ability. Our general practice is to discourage transfers in
grades 7 & 8, unless the student is currently performing at an "A" level in their public
school, or holding at least a "B" average at another Catholic School. Students attempting
to come to Our Lady of Grace after 6th grade generally have a difficult time catching up
with our advanced curricular standards, so the demand for high academic output is for
the benefit of the student, not just the benefit of the school.

#9 - Do you teach from the California State Standards?
The Diocese of Sacramento has developed a sent of Diocesan Standards that encompass
the California State Standards, increase them, and incorporate Religion into each
subject. The Diocesan Standards can be viewed by visiting the Diocese of Sacramento
Catholic School Department website by typing in the following address : www.csdsac.org

#10 - Do you have to be Catholic to attend Our Lady of Grace School?
While we do teach the Catholic Doctrine in all that we do, we do not require our students
to be Catholic. We do expect all of our students, Catholic or not, to participate in all
aspects of our Catholic School experience - from regular Masses and Prayer Services to
daily prayer and Catholic holidays that we celebrate. We also expect our parents to be
equally supportive of the experiences as well.

#11 - Are all of your teachers credentialed?
Although not required by the Diocese of Sacramento, all of our teachers either hold a
California Teaching Credential or are in the process of obtaining one. Some of our
teachers hold a Master's Degree in their particular field of expertise as well.
